Right, so, Quicken moved all the accounts over to their servers, away from Intuit. My understanding now is that instead of it downloading all the information to your Mac, it downloads it in the background to the cloud then to your Mac, or mobile device. I'm not sure if this is more efficient or not. Does anyone know if it downloads to the cloud at a set time or if I have to initiate it on my Mac? I have noticed on my Wells Fargo accounts, I get an error if I start it on Mac.
I have let it sit for a while, come back, tried again, and a few other different methods. Same thing, error. BUT, if I download transactions on the iOS app, it downloads fine, then if I try again on Mac it works without issue. An update was pushed out yesterday. Maybe that resolves it. I had already downloaded yesterday earlier and I can't remember if there are updates over the weekend. Also, is anyone on the Quicken site for support?

When I did some searching on there it seemed like it was either older information or things not related to me. Should we make a thread here just to help with some basic thing about Quicken? Or did I miss something over there?

I haven't been able to get anything to download from my regular bank since Monday (it's a credit union). Also, the update broke my Scottrade account, which does not recognize a sell/buy from Compaq to HP. I see the buy but not the sell, and adding the sell did not correct the balance. I will probably shelve it for the most part until Jan 1, as I really need my reporting to be accurate for tax time. I'm hoping there are either more patches or that 2018 is better (or both). I was only able to talk to someone at Quicken via FB messaging. I did join the community and found them helpful, plus here.
Quicken 2018 has been released and it's little changed from 2017 BUT it's now subscription based.you buy it for a year. Quicken 2017 has a 3 Year download expiration so it is good for downloads/online until 2020.
If you have Quicken 2015 it 'expires' in 2018; Quicken 2016 'expires in 2019 and Quicken 2017 will expire in 2020. Compare to Quicken 2017 with an expiration date in 2018 and a cost of $49.99 list. There is a deal on that.$64.99 with a 2 year subscription but that only takes you to 2019. Net: Quicken 2017 might be the best deal right now.and at under $21, it's almost a steal. I believe this is for both WIndows AND Mac but it's not clear from the listing.actually, I think that's the only way it comes. Strangely, you won't actually find this if you go to Amazon.
If you go to the site below, you'll see it offered for $22. Now another slickdeals hint.if you go to google and look for Quicken Deluxe 2017, you'll see the same item at the same store (but purchased through the google storefront) listed for $20.29. I can't post the URL here because it is apparently a link thru a link or something like that. The store name is: The PC Software Connection Store.
No shipping fee (or tax to florida).
