You don't install fonts in applications. Use the OS X Font Book program to install the font to the appropriate Fonts folder. You'll find information in both OS X Help as well as Help for the Font Book app. Alternatively you can simply drag the font file to the proper Fonts folder, but depending on the nature of the 'font' it's usually better to use Font Book. Here’s how you embed a new font in Powerpoint 2016 for mac, granted you’ve already downloaded it: If it is compressed extract it. Double-click the font file to open the Font Book application. The font displays in a window, providing a preview of what it will look like in PowerPoint. Select Install Font. To open a ZIP file, simply double-click it and then drag the font files onto your desktop. To open a RAR file, you'll first need to install a free extraction program like 7-Zip (7-zip.org) or WinRAR (rarlabs.com. After installing the program, you'll be able to double-click the archive file and then drag the font files to your desktop.
